AB picks up two Argentinian talents
Two great Argentinian talents are moving from a major talent academy in Argentina to AB. Emiliano Gomez and Emiliano Arrieta are both moving from Argentine capital club Club Atlético Lanus to AB. It’s a long-term deal that gives the two players the opportunity to develop into valuable players for AB. “When I heard about the opportunity to come and play in Denmark, it seemed like a unique chance, so I didn’t hesitate. My expectations are that I adapt quickly so that I can contribute to the team and AB can continue to develop,” says 19-year-old Emiliano Gomez. Both Emiliano Gomez and Emiliano Arrieta are talents from Club Atlético Lanus in Argentina’s top flight. Now they are swapping the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires, for Copenhagen. “I didn’t hesitate to say yes when I received the offer to come to Denmark not so long ago. There is good football being played there. A type of football that I like. I will do my best to always help the team and the club,” says 18-year-old Emiliano Arrieta, a midfielder who can also play in attacking midfield. “I live and breathe football in a very passionate way,” he says. While Emiliano Gomez is an attacking type, Emiliano Arrieta plays a bit more withdrawn on the pitch as a central midfielder. He emphasizes his winning mentality when describing himself as a player. “I like to win everything I participate in. I enjoy the victory, but I also accept defeat. I’m passionate and a good teammate,” says Arrieta.
