AB Gladsaxe wins 3-1 over BK Frem
Earlier today, AB Gladsaxe won 3-1 against BK Frem in Valby Idrætspark. Compared to the last match in Thisted, Alessio Alicino and Emil Mygind started instead of James Iheme and Christoffer Thrane. BK Frem started fresh and met AB high on the pitch. After 11 min. In the 41st minute, BK Frem has a great chance, where a shot ends up on the outside of the post. The score was 1-1 at half-time. Both teams come on the pitch with renewed energy and in expectation of more goals. Just as everyone in the stadium was waiting for Emil Mygind to send a deep pass to Albert Nørager, who was free on the wing, he dribbled across and sent a long shot into the corner for a 2-1 lead in the 52nd minute. It was the second match in a row that Emil Mygind got on the scoreboard. The match was interrupted after 65 minutes when a spectator in the stands felt unwell. It was a family member of Emil Wass, who left the pitch to go to hospital for observation. Under the circumstances, the family member is doing well. Both BK Frem and AB had chances, but none resulted in goals. After 76 minutes, Mads Vang passes to Frederik Ellegaard, who is in a free position when Mads Vang returns the ball to Frederik Ellegaard, who shoots the ball into the goal for a 3-1 lead. It was also the result of the match, and AB Gladsaxe has taken 2nd place in the 2nd division – at least until tomorrow Sunday. Head coach Patrick Birch Braune said after the match: “Absolutely crazy important three points today. Comeback victory again. The boys showed fantastic character today. We knew that it would be difficult against Frem today and that we had to be very aware of the effort it took to bring home points from Valby. We didn’t slack on anything. We went through a lot of adversity again. We should be very happy with the three points. That said, our thoughts are of course with Emil Wass and his family”. Captain Silas Trier Madsen said these words after the match: “It’s just super cool. Right now we’re second in the second division – that’s outstanding. It’s not often in many games that we fall behind and still come back and win. It just shows how strong a team we are. We fight our asses off for all ninety minutes. Being able to fight like that just gets you so many points.”
After the match, the players voted Frederik Ellegaard as player of the match.
