AB Gladsaxe and 27-year-old right-back Erik Lindell have just signed a 3-year contract, meaning the Swede will move to AB from Allsvenskan club Degerfors IF with immediate effect.

The versatile Lindell, who can also play left back or right midfield, comes to the club with valuable experience from the top Swedish league, where he played and scored in his last match for Degerfors IF yesterday.

Lindell has played 164 games for Degerfors IF, 49 of them in the Allsvenskan. In his six seasons at the club, he managed to score 5 goals and make 38 assists. Lindell also topped the assist list on the team in the 2019/20 season, where his 10 assists helped Degerfors move up to the top Swedish league.

“Erik comes in with extensive experience from Allsvenskan and Superettan. He was an important part of the Degerfors team that was promoted to Allsvenskan. Erik is a box-to-box player with a strong ability to set up his teammates. He is a real team player with a good overview and quality in the passes in the final third. In Erik we get another good and leading personality for the locker room, who can help the younger players grow,” says AB’s head coach, David Roufpanah.

Everyone in the club welcomes Erik Lindell to AB.
