Hard work pays off, and it certainly has for 19-year-old midfielder Hakim Sighaoui, who signed a professional contract with the club this week.
Sighaoui, whose talent has blossomed significantly during his time with the club’s U-19 team, where he has played 24 games and scored 6 goals this season, will now continue his football career as part of AB’s senior team in the upcoming season.
Hakim expresses his joy at having signed his first contract: “It feels amazing! It’s the result of a long period of hard work and dedication. It’s my first contract, which makes it extra special. AB means an incredible amount to me. The club has shown trust in me and has helped me grow as a person and as a player. I have experienced enormous development during my time here. My goal for the upcoming season is to be able to contribute as much as possible to the team and continue my development.”
“We are excited about Hakim and his potential. He has made really good progress in the U19 team, the academy has done a good job with his training, and we feel he is ready to continue his development in the senior team,” says CEO Erik Stover.
Everyone at AB looks forward to following Hakim’s development and wishes him congratulations on the contract!
