AB Gladsaxe signs 22-year-old Ivorian central defender Ibrahim Kalil Junior Doumbia from AS Denguélé d’Odienné. The left-footed Doumbia joined AS Denguélé in 2021, who play in the Ivorian first division.
In January 2023, Doumbia was loaned to Greek 2nd Super League team Irodotos. Here he played 6 games from the start before being recalled by AS Denguélé after Irodotos was forced to interrupt the season due to suspension by the Greek Football Federation.
The 193 cm tall defender is expected to join the team in mid-July after he receives his work permit.
“Ibrahim is an exciting talent with lots of development potential. As we want
is to add more intensity to our game, then a player with Ibrahim’s profile is a good defensive option for us going forward. He will add the necessary height and strength to our
posterior chain.” says David Roufpanah, AB’s head coach.
Everyone at AB welcomes Doumbia to the club.
