AB Gladsaxe has agreed with Næstved BK on the sale of Frederik Ellegaard and Silas Trier Madsen for an undisclosed amount.
“It has been an incredibly difficult decision to let Frederik and Silas leave the club this summer,” says AB Gladsaxe CEO, Erik Stover.
“They have both been an important part of AB’s recent history, both at youth level and in the 2nd division. We are sad to see them leave the club, but also happy that they now have the opportunity to try their hand at a higher level.”
Stover continues: “It is our responsibility to consider offers from other clubs, and in this case both players have been given a unique opportunity to take a new and higher step in their careers.”
About the move, Ellegaard says: “It is with mixed feelings that I say goodbye to a club that has been my second home for as long as I can remember. I have made friends for life, met a lot of good people, had many experiences and played with some talented players. As a ball boy at Gladsaxe Stadion, I had a dream of running around the pitch one day. That dream came true, and I have enjoyed every second at the club. I would like to thank all the fans for their support, both in good and hard times. It has meant an incredible amount to me and the whole team. Now I am looking forward to taking a step up in the NordicBet league and developing myself even more. I wish AB all the best and will of course be at Gladsaxe Stadion again as a fan.”
Ellegaard made his debut for AB in 2017 and played 112 games for the club, scoring 37 goals and providing 22 assists. In the 2022-23 season, he was the top scorer in the 2nd division with 18 goals.

The team’s captain last season, Trier Madsen, also made his AB debut in 2017. During his time at the club, he managed to play 98 games, scoring a total of 4 goals and providing 1 assist. Trier Madsen spent three years in Skovshoved from 2018 before returning to AB again in January 2021.
“It’s hard to say goodbye to a club that has meant a lot to me. A club where I have gotten to know a lot of fantastic people. A club that has helped me develop both as a player and as a person. And a huge thank you must go to former teammates, coaches, volunteers and not least fans who have given us fantastic support, which we players have been able to feel season after season,” says Trier Madsen.
Stover concludes by saying: “We are working hard to ensure that we have a competitive squad for the upcoming season. At the same time, we also need to ensure that we operate within sustainable financial guidelines.”
Frederik and Silas will always be welcome back at Gladsaxe Stadion, and we wish them both all the best in their new club.
