The agreement has been extended for one year so that it is valid until 2026. Myg’s football history goes way back. He started as a 7-year-old at FC Jonstrup, and as a 12-year-old he started in AB, where he has played since only interrupted by 1/2 year in Herlev IF.
Myg returned from Herlev IF to AB in the autumn of 2021, and had his breakthrough in the autumn of 2022, where he scored 6 goals. In January 2023, he suffered a bad knee injury, which led to surgery in March. Right now, Emil is in the process of rehabilitation, and it is going according to plan.

“It has been a very tough period for me to be out for so long. The prospect of being able to play football again was really far away. It hit me a lot, because it was a long time where I was physically limited. I haven’t tried to be out for so long before, so it wasn’t easy. I’m doing much better now after I started running little by little last week. Now I also feel that I can look forward, and I am happy that I, together with our physiotherapist Andreas, can give it a go so that I can come back. I believe that I will need a period of time to find my way back into the game of football. Of course, I have to be in good physical and mental shape, but also in what you can call football shape. I am determined that I will come back stronger than I was before,” says Emil.
Head coach David Roufpanah said: “Emil is making good progress with his knee injury. He is an important player who brings great energy and intensity to the pitch. He is an important part of the group in the dressing room and we see him as an important part of the future.”
