AB Gladsaxe goes to training camp
AB Gladsaxe will travel to Valencia for a one-week training camp. Departure is Monday, February 20 and return Monday, February 27. The players and staff will stay in Puig de Santa María. There will be training sessions on grass twice a day. On Thursday there is a training match against Torrent CF, who play in the Tercera División. There will be social activities and the squad will also watch the La Liga match where Valencia take on Real Sociedad. Head coach Patrick Birch Braune says: “We’re going to Valencia for a training camp and it’s a great way to get the squad together. We have to work professionally with two training sessions a day, which is very important in the period we’re in now. There are some social relationships to work on and new players to assimilate into the squad. Training camp is one of the golden tools for getting a squad ready. We get the opportunity to practice on a good grass pitch some of the technical and tactical things and details that are difficult to do in everyday life due to the cold weather. We get the opportunity to get in depth and become even sharper. So it’s just super cool and we’re sure it will make a difference on the pitch. There’s also the social aspect of it. We’ve had a really strong team spirit and our cohesiveness has been our core competence. We need to take that forward and bring the newcomers into it. We have a great opportunity to work on that when we’re together for a whole week. It’s also great to have more time to get to know each other better. We are very excited to have this opportunity and it is clearly an optimization of what we have tried before.”
