AB A/S has signed 20-year-old Mikkel Brund. The left-footed centre-back has played for Randers FC in his youth, after which he moved to Hobro IK II in 2023.
“Mikkel is a young centre-back who is already playing with a great maturity for his age,” says head coach David Roufpanah.
“He has good qualities both offensively and defensively and increases the competition in the defensive group. We are very much looking forward to seeing him develop with us.”
Brund was captain of the Randers U19 team in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons, where he played 60 games. He made his debut for Randers FC in March 2021 against Lyngby.
“With the setup and the ambitions that are in the club, I see AB as the right club for me,” says Brund himself.
“I hope that I can contribute to bringing a high level on the pitch and in the dressing room. I’m just looking forward to getting started and meeting the fans. I’ve heard a lot of good things about them.”
