Unisport and Akademisk Boldklub are strengthening their football collaboration across both the elite team AB A/S and the grassroots teams at Akademisk Boldklub.
It is announced that AB’s football department has now expanded their collaboration with Unisport, which as of 1 January 2025 will be both the new main supplier for all Akademisk Boldklub’s football teams and the new shirt sponsor for AB’s 2nd Division team. The partnership extends until 30 June 2028.
The agreement also means that both elite and grassroots teams will wear Select products via Unisport in the future, and that AB’s football department will thus switch from Hummel as of 1 January 2025.
Member of the football board of Akademisk Boldklub, Henrik Blauert, is proud of the extended agreement: “We in the football department are very happy to be able to extend the agreement with Unisport. Over the past three years, we have continuously expanded the collaboration and built a really good partnership for the benefit of all our members,” he says and continues, “We see the fact that the agreement has now also been entered into together with AB A/S as a clear strengthening of our collaboration around the elite teams.”
Previously, the partnership has only involved the grassroots club, but in the future it will include AB’s entire football organization. The agreement thus strengthens the cooperation and coherence between the two entities, which underlines the common identity.
The elite team is also excited about the new partnership and the increased streamlining:
“At AB A/S, we are pleased that we not only have a good collaboration with Akademisk Boldklub, but now also have the same identity externally”, says CEO, Sofie Brandi Petersen, and elaborates: “We have had a good collaboration with Unisport last season, which has helped us get all the equipment for the team in place. We are therefore very pleased to start a formal collaboration and now be able to call them an official partner of the club”.
Unisport is Europe’s leading platform for online shopping of football boots, football shirts and other sports equipment and AB is looking forward to benefiting from their expertise and wide range. Unisport has also expressed great pleasure in being able to expand the collaboration and strengthen their presence in AB:

The partnership, and the new options for equipment and clothing, will create new value for members of Akademisk Boldklub as well as fans of AB’s football team in the coming years.
