Akademisk Boldklub A/S and the 26-year-old midfielder Darren Sidoel have agreed to part ways.
AB’s head coach, Joey Gudjonsson, wishes Sidoel the best of luck: “We wish Darren all the best in the future. He is a good player, but we have a strong group of midfielders, where others are ahead of him in the queue at the moment. We have therefore agreed that it is best for both parties to look elsewhere.”
The Dutchman joined the club in September 2023. The former Ajax youth player has represented AB 36 times and scored 3 goals for the club.
“Darren’s contract expired in the summer and we have previously tried to reach an agreement on an extension, but without success.” says AB’s sports director Jen Chang, and continues: “He has wanted to find a new life this January, where he can get more minutes, and we wish him all the best in the future.”
