Later today, AB Gladsaxe will travel across the Sound to play the first training match of the winter start. Here Trelleborg FF awaits at Vångavallen – D, Östervångsvägen 231 55 Trelleborg with the match starting at 16.00.
Trelleborg FF plays in Superettan and ended the 2023 season in 8th place. They are also in the process of training preparations ahead of their start of the 2024 season. Trelleborg FF lost their last friendly match with 0-1 against Helsingborg IF.
Trelleborg FF’s squad includes four Danish players: Andreas Beck Larsen goalkeeper and former BK Frem, Zander Hyltoft has most recently played for Vendsyssel FF, Pierre Dahlin Larsen former HB Køge and Nicolas Mortensen, whose last Danish club was FC Helsingør. AB’s start-up has been fine with, among other things, training in a crossfit center. This, together with lots of running, will make the players more fit and muscle. Then it also makes the slightly dreary and dark winter time more attractive to train in when there is variation in the training. In AB’s gross squad for the match against Trelleborg FF, there are five new players, and even though it is early in the season, it will be interesting to follow them.
Head coach David Roufpanah says: “We will face Trelleborg in the first training match. It is also the first game for the squad and the first game for the new players in the club. We are going out to try out the things that we have focused on for the training.
The result is not the first priority now. We have a number of players out with injuries and illness, which is common in a tough start and at that time of year. Among them, there are also players who would normally start inside. Then, of course, there are other players who get more time to show off.
It’s a friendly match where we don’t play for points, so the most important thing is to get the game together and that as many players as possible get playing time. Of course, it’s different than if it had been a tournament match.”
