4-3 victory over Brønshøj
AB Gladsaxe played the penultimate training match earlier today before the spring season gets underway. Today’s opponent was Brønshøj, who were ready at Tingbjærg Idrætspark. Brønshøj is in the spring promotion playoff for a place in the 3rd division. The traditional Mosederby and the beautiful sunshine attracted many spectators. In addition to sunshine and a touch of spring, they also got 7 goals. AB won the match 4-3 and there were several great goals from both teams. AB’s goals were scored by Albert Nørager, Alessio Alicino, Marcus Gudmann and Søren Ilsøe. AB was ahead both 3-1 and 4-1, but AB looked a bit tired at times and perhaps still had travel fatigue after the training camp last week in Spain. AB had the upper hand in the game in the 1st half. There were some good chances for both teams, but AB had most of them throughout the match. Just two minutes later, Christoffer Thrane had a finish close to the goal. AB went ahead on a sharp pass from Alessio Alicino to Albert Nørager on the edge of the box. He took a simple move and knocked the ball into the goal for a 1-0 lead. No more than 6 minutes after the break, Oliver Angus passed to Frederik Ellegaard, who searched towards the back line and sent the ball behind to Alessio Alicino, who sent the ball into the goal for 2-0. Fifteen minutes into the second half, Brønshøj had a well-played attack that ended with a goal and a reduction to 1-2. Asger Højmark-Jensen came on in the second half and worked well. The referee awarded a free kick close to the goal when Asger Højmark-Jensen was brought down. Now some probably thought there would be a cross into the box from Marcus Gudmann – but no, he sent the ball directly into the goal on a very nice shot and increased the lead to 3-1. Half an hour plays and AB presses on. Søren Ilsøe makes a cheeky dribble around a defender and curls the ball into the corner of the goal to lead 4-1. AB should have kept the match alive, but two great but stupid goals were sent in behind Tobias Brogaard, so the match ended 4-3. After the match, head coach Patrick Birch Braune said: “There are good things we can take away from today’s match. We landed yesterday with the plane from training camp and I think you could see that. There were some things we struggled with. We dropped in level at times and then we picked up the pace again. It was a bit too unstable a performance in general throughout the match. When we were good, we really hurt them. But not a consistent enough effort. There are some things to work on – we need to be more stable and skillful so we can close out a game. We had the game and the chances. But there were also sloppy moments that let them into the game. As a coach, that’s what I’m most unhappy about.” Starting line-up: Tobias Brogaard, goal Gustav Overgaard Hansen Adrien Koudelka Marcus Gudmann Albert Nørager Alessio Alicino Daniel Warmbach Oliver Angus Christoffer Thrane Emil Wass Frederik Ellegaard On the pitch came and went: Rasmus Møller in – Adrien Koudelka out Marcelo Randolph in – Albert Nørager out Asger Højmark-Jensen in – Frederik Ellegaard out Søren Ilsøe in – Daniel Warmbach out Emiliano Gomez in – Emil Wass out Next match is Saturday 4.
