3-1 victory against Hvidovre IF
AB Gladsaxe played the first of six training matches today. It went really well, and AB took the victory with 3-1 over Hvidovre IF. From the start, AB put a lot of pressure on the opponent, showed good energy and sensible handling of the ball. It only took 5 min. before a corner kick from Albert Nørager sent the ball into the box, where Marcus Mustac Gudmann sent a return ball from the goalkeeper directly into the net for a 1-0 lead. AB continues with the energetic and high pressure, and several good opportunities arise. After 35 minutes of play, Christoffer Thrane receives a good pass and sends the ball into the goal for a 2-0 lead. New defender Adrien Koudelka had to retire with a minor head injury after a collision. He did a good job until then. In the second half, Hvidovre came more into the game and had a couple of chances, but it was still AB who had the most chances. Despite some substitutions, AB continued to play at a high tempo and with good relationships between the players. After 25 minutes of the second half, striker Asger Højmark-Jensen came on the pitch and did a good job. Albert Gaub-Jakobsen pulls off a good save after a good chance for Hvidovre IF. Unfortunately, Mads Vang only gets a few minutes on the pitch when he is injured in a tackle and has to retire. After 44 min. Marcus Mustac Gudmann runs forward and gets a good pass close to the center line. He sprints towards goal, closely pursued by a defender, who sees Gudmann send the ball into the goal for 3-0. Andreas Smed from Hvidovre IF reduced the score to 3-1 shortly before the final whistle. After the match, head coach Patrick Birch Braune said: “We are underway. It was the first training match. We came out and did what we’ve done well and what we’ve been successful with. It really hurt Hvidovre. We played at a pace that was really good today and it sets a standard going forward. We’re super happy with the boys and with a 3-1 victory over Hvidovre. Of course, there is some rust to be knocked off. We’re really happy with the result, but really sad about the injury to Mads Vang – we cross our fingers and hope for the best that the injury is not that serious”. The starting lineup was: Albert Gaub-Jakobsen (goal) Gustav Overgaard Hansen Adrien Koudelka Oliver Angus Albert Nørager Alessio Alicino Marcus Mustac Gudmann Trialist Emil Mygind Christoffer Thrane Trialist During the match the following players came on the pitch: Rasmus Møller Lucas Ørneborg Emil Wass Asger Højmark-Jensen Marcus Hørbye Mads Vang The next training match will be played on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 13.00, when AB Tårnby visits Skovdiget.
